THREE WAYS TO EXPERIENCE MAXIMUS

Build a camp around your orienteering.

Train independently, join a shared session or put your skills to the test in competition. Combine all three around the goals of your group.

Orienteer during a Maximus permanent training session

01 / YOUR OWN PROGRAMME

Permanent training

Choose the courses that fit your week and run them at your own pace. Forest and sprint sessions cover everything from precise control work to longer route-choice legs, intervals and relay exercises.

02 / SHARED INTENSITY

SportIdent training

Bring other runners into the picture. Our organised sessions use dedicated courses, Air+ timing and split results, with formats that add pressure, decision-making and race intensity to your camp.

READ THE MAP. FEEL THE TERRAIN.

Every session asks a different question.

Can you hold a precise line through the rock detail? Pick the right features in an open forest? Commit to a route choice and keep reading at speed? These are the decisions our terrain brings into your training.

From the legendary forests of Peguerinos to the granite detail of the Valle del Alberche and the pine forests around Las Navas del Marqués, you can work on different parts of your technique within the same camp.

Train on Dehesa de Navaluenga, the terrain behind WorldOfO’s Course of the Year 2024, or the magnificent Cabeza Mesada in El Hoyo de Pinares. Then switch to the urban mazes of San Juan de la Nava or Navarredondilla to sharpen your sprint decisions.

MADRID–ÁVILA. FORESTS, VALLEYS & WINTER SUN.

More time in the forest.
A good base between sessions.

Our training area stretches from Burgohondo and Navaluenga in the Valle del Alberche to Las Navas del Marqués and the surrounding pine forests. Madrid is your flight gateway to the region.

Hotel Máximus in Las Navas del Marqués is our main camp reference. We can also help with houses, meals and complementary training services, giving your group the support it needs around the orienteering.

Winter days are often sunny and comfortable for running, with training areas usually free of snow. Bring warm layers for cool mornings and evenings, and keep a little flexibility for changing conditions.
